First Aid Course for children 8-16

It's so important for children to have basic first aid training. This is a 3 hour workshop covering how to treat wounds, respiratory first aid and resuscitation. The sessions will be conducted in an age appropriate way with emphasis on the child's safety. £15 per child with sibling discounts.

About the Event
Our friends at Forever First Aid are delivering this wonderful three hour course to teach essential first aid training, in an age appropriate way, to children.
Blood and gore – 1 hour
This workshop covers minor and severe bleeding; treating minor cuts and grazes including nosebleeds. Using role play we creatively deal with a severe bleeding scenario.
I can’t breathe – 1 hour
Asthma attacks and choking are always a concern. This course empowers a young person to be able to identify and manage two important breathing problems.
Resuscitation – 1 hour
Enables young people to learn CPR using our manikins. As Automated external defibrillators are becoming more common in the community this course also promotes awareness of them.
There will be a short break during the course and your children are welcome to bring drinks and snacks with them.
The course will be entirely outdoors, although we will have some shelter in the event of rain, so the children will need suitable clothing.
We have toilets on site and a car park

This ticket is for a 3 hour course to teach your child basic first aid. Your child will need to be between 8 and 16.
