BEHAVIOUR POLICY
All behaviour communicates something and our job is to work out what that is!
We try to meet the children’s needs through connection, emotional understanding and clear boundaries rather than rewards or punishments.
We recognise that many children need support to develop self-regulation and empathy, however, we need to balance this with the need for everyone to feel safe and included.
Behaviour that causes harm to others cannot be allowed to continue. This includes bullying behaviours such as persistent intimidation, physical abuse or the use of slurs, particularly related to protected characteristics.
If these types of behaviours continue we may need to ask the adult to collect their child early for the safety and wellbeing of the group.
