Mindfulness Course Outline
There are two principle Mindfulness Courses. One is Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, for those suffering from stress and anxiety and the other is Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for those suffering from depression. The course I teach is adapted from these two to suit the participants on the course.
Telephone chat- I like to speak to all prospective participants, before they join the course, to ensure that Mindfulness is right for them and it is the right time for people to be doing it.
The course comprises of 8 weekly 1.5-2hr sessions, on consecutive weeks, with the first week as an induction. So that is 9 weeks in total.
Each week we will explore a new theme and a new meditation practice. After I have led you in a practise you will be invited to talk about your experience within the meditation. Importantly you are invited to talk, there is no expectation put on you to do so. Mindfulness is very invitational.
Each week you will be given homework, which will be a meditation and you will be asked to practise it daily.
To do the course you should be prepared to come to all of the sessions and to find half an hour a day for your practice.
The price of the full course and all materials is £145.00
The next course will start on the 14th of October, and each Thursday for 9 weeks after that.
